A Message = Hope and Love

I have SO MUCH to blog about, my severely bruised arse, my fractured foot, the office bowling party, my date this morning to Gander Mountain (and I'm still a good shot - 2 bulleyes out of 6 the first round - dang) and my trip to South Carolina last weekend - so many laughs, such fun courses, my fabulous dogs, Burn and Triumph and especially news about how well my friend Nancy Walker and her incredible dog Rudy did...

but last night I went to Northland Church and saw Nick Vujicic, live and in person...I watched and listened to one of the most amazing human beings on the planet for 2 hours and was completely blown away...

I called Dylan first thing this morning to share this clip with him...I hope he watched it and I hope he will watch it again...if you EVER get a chance to see Nick, you MUST go...in the meantime, please watch this...

Struggle

Life isn't easy...for most...some struggle more than others...some not at all which must be nice...it can seem cruel and unfair a lot of the time and a good part of life and what happens in it, is beyond our individual control...that is frustrating to me, I hate not being in control of what happens in my life...I make myself look for the good in everything and make myself give everything the benefit of the doubt at least once, sometimes twice...

life is humbling and just when I think things couldn't get any worse, I don't have to look far to see that I don't want to walk in anyone else's shoes...I've gotten comfortable in my own.

I have seen this before and saw it again this morning on Facebook and wanted it on my blog...I love it!

Saturday night I went to an Easter service with friends at Northland Church in Longwood...one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had...like no other church service I'd ever been to in my life...I can't even describe it in words and do it justice...it is something anyone and everyone should go to...I can't wait to go back.

Easter Sunday I set up a long course in my backyard and my neighbor and her 2-year old grand daughter walked over to watch...I ran Triumph and the 2-year old little girl clapped and smiled, but not before she had to walk over the dog walk and see-saw herself...so very cute...but my butt was not happy with me and it is not happy now!!!!  Friday night I slipped and fell bowling - actually fell on my sacrum - big ouch, big!  The good news is my tailbone is not broken, but I think my sacrum may be...!

So we set up a little swimming pool and my dogs got to play in that instead of on the agility equipment - I think they were pretty happy about that...well maybe not Pauli as she does not do cold water...Burn is too funny as he just digs for the hose...Bosco would rather dive in for a toy but I couldn't seem to video and throw at the same time, my butt hurt...Triumph seemed to have an issue getting his tail wet - nut!

here's a video clip...

Then I got to spend some time with Dylan!!!!!  I picked him up from his dad's house and we went to a movie and then to Ale House for a game of pool and dinner...we talked we laughed...it was the best ending to a nice Easter weekend!!!!!!!

And oh yeah, good news, my homeowner's insurance is up for renewal and now under the new insurance regulations, blah blah blah, my 72-year old house had to have a 4-point inspection and a wind mitigation inspection...the inspections were last night...we passed with flying colors!  Get this, I had replaced my AC unit last year...the inspector gave it another 29 years of life - I will be 80 years old and my AC should still be working!!!!!! LOL!!!!

This weekend I have a ride to South Carolina for a USDAA trial...not sure I can run, I could not yesterday morning at all, but I have some backup and a few folks willing to run Triumph and Burn if I need them to...Triumph needs 2 standard legs and 2 pairs legs for his ADCH - yahoo!

SO.MANY.THINGS...

I have so many things going on in my life right now, good, bad, insane, ridiculous, unbelievable, etc...and since I got back from my ski trip on March 28th, I have not had even an extra few minutes to sit at my computer and update my blog...I so want to as I have a million pictures, a million funny stories, I met SO many incredible people on this ski trip and just don't want to leave out any one detail...there really are just too many to share on a blog as the entry would go on forever and ever...kinda like I had wished my time in Colorado would have...but back to the real world...boohoo!

At every lift we got off of, there was a professional photographer set up taking pictures...we took advantage of every photo op we could get...there was never a cloud in the sky, it was so blue and so sunny and the mountains are breathtaking...I also have a ton of pics on my iphone that I will share and post sometime soon...in the meantime, enjoy these :)

oh yeah, Anne's son, Ryan, bought these video sunglasses - they take a perfect video...sooo freakin cool!!!!  As soon as I get the video clips, I will share.  By the second day, I was on the harder blue runs and by the third day, I could easily do some of the black runs!!
